HDBC received another Senegal parrot. His name is Ziti; his exact age is unknown, but he is between 18 to 20 years old. Results from a vet check were negative for psittacosis and a general blood panel. Ziti has shown a preference for females, and says a few words like “Hi Ziti bird!” and a variety of other sounds. He has potential to make a good bird friend and pet, but like many birds, he does pick his people and he will need some time to adjust. Ziti is currently in a foster home. Completing a Birdy Basics class is part of the adoption process and requirement. The first class will be scheduled soon. Class dates, times and locations will be announced in both Birdy Bytes and on our website as soon as possible.
